URL to Markdown
Paste a link and get the page as clean Markdown.
The address you enter is sent to our server, which fetches the page once and passes it back to your browser. We don't store the page or log the full address.
How it works
Browsers can't read other websites directly, so the address goes to our server, which fetches the page once as modelpickBot and passes the HTML back. It follows the site's robots.txt and does not store the page or log the full address.
Everything after that happens in your browser: Mozilla's Readability picks out the main content (turn it off to keep the whole page), and turndown converts it to Markdown. Relative links and images are turned into full addresses.
Limits
Pages up to 2 MB that answer within 10 seconds, 10 fetches a minute and 200 a day per visitor. Only public http and https pages: addresses on private networks are refused.
Pages that need a login, or that build their content with JavaScript after loading, may come out empty or partial. Only fetch pages you are allowed to access and reuse.
