How the conversion works
The PDF is read with Mozilla's pdf.js in your browser. Lines with a larger font than the body text become headings, and lines of body text are joined into paragraphs.
Scanned PDFs (images of text) have no text layer, so they come out empty. Complex layouts such as multi-column pages or tables may need some cleanup.
